WaveTracker Time Templates

Time templates for symbols can be very important when using WaveTracker. This is especially true when the symbol has both a day session and an evening session (for example, the S&P EMini). In such cases, there should be distinct time templates for each chart in order to distinguish day session charts from evening session charts. If the symbol has both a day session and an evening session, then each chart should have a time template assigned that precisely defines the time range that applies, either the day session or the day session plus the evening session. Regardless of the number of bars existing in a particular chart, WaveTracker will only use the most recent 600 bars of data. This amount of data is more than sufficient to determine the active AWE patterns that may be in effect for that particular degree of magniitude. Therefore, when defining time templates, it is only necessary to define a time frame that contains 600 bars of data. Any time frame defined for a chart that contains more than 600 bars of data only serves to waste system resources. At the tic2tic downloads page, there is a time template file that you can download that contains time templates for the S&P EMini.
